Easy Chocolate Pudding Recipe for beginners

 

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups (500ml) whole milk
  • ½ cup (100g) granulated sugar
  • ⅓ cup (30g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional toppings: whipped cream, chocolate shavings, or berries


Instructions:

  1. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium saucepan, whisk together sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt until well combined.
  2. Add Milk: Gradually pour in the milk while whisking continuously to ensure no lumps form.
  3. Cook: Place the saucepan over medium heat and cook the mixture, stirring constantly, until it thickens (about 5-7 minutes). Do not let it boil.
  4. Add Vanilla: Once thickened, remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Cool and Serve: Pour the pudding into serving bowls or glasses. Let it cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for 2-3 hours until set.
  6. Optional Garnish: Top with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, or fresh berries before serving.
